You can permanently delete your Argumentator account at any time. Pick the path that matches your situation:
If the app is still installed (fastest)
- Open Argumentator on your device.
- Sign in to the account you want to remove.
- Tap Settings → Delete account and confirm.
Account row, personal identifiers, history, profile photo, debate participation and share links are removed or anonymized immediately.
If you no longer have the app installed
Send an email from the address registered to your account to: [email protected]
- Subject line:
Delete account: [email protected] - Body (optional): Reason for deletion, screenshots, anything that helps us locate the right user.
We respond within 30 days. We may reply to confirm before deletion if the request looks ambiguous.
What is deleted vs retained
Deleted or anonymized immediately:
- Account record (email, display name, profile photo)
- Argument history and saved drafts
- Debate participation (your name and photo are anonymized; opponents can still see the debate flow)
- Public share links you created
- Push notification tokens and device IDs
Retained for legal / billing reasons:
- Subscription and billing records — up to 5 years per applicable tax law
- Webhook audit log — up to 90 days for billing reconciliation
- Aggregated, anonymous usage counters — indefinitely, no longer linked to you
